Licensed Associate Counselor
Seeking therapy can feel daunting and intimidating, especially for those of us who come from backgrounds where asking for help is stigmatized and discouraged. As a queer person of color, I recognize the need for representation in the field of mental health care. I am committed to approaching every client with empathy and understanding, taking a person-centered approach that recognizes that all clients and their stories are unique. This perspective is essential in fostering a strong client-counselor relationship and building trust, which is foundational to effective therapy.
My approach to therapy is also fueled by a social justice perspective, recognizing that marginalized communities, such as people of color, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrants, often face systemic barriers to accessing quality mental health services. My goal is to work with these populations to address disparities and promote equity in mental health care by advocating for justice and embracing the shared humanity of all clients. I use an eclectic variety of therapeutic models, such as DBT, CBT, expressive arts, IFS, and narrative therapy to help my clients achieve their goals and feel empowered.
I also believe in the power of a collaborative approach to therapy, one where your strengths are recognized and celebrated. It is my mission to give you the tools to feel empowered to take charge of your life and mental health, regardless of your circumstances or background. Together, I believe we can help you develop a stronger sense of self and purpose.

I’m a big believer in the power of humor. Being able to laugh and make others laugh brings me a lot of joy and is a great stress reliever!
