Clinical Therapist

I have a multitude of life experiences that help me empathize with and help my clients. I have completed years of education and training that provided expertise in the areas to which I relate: safety, PTSD and trauma, anxiety, couples’ issues, single parents, chronic pain, and domestic violence. I cannot pretend to understand your struggles since experiences and perceptions are unique to each individual. I may, however, have a slight inkling of the universal challenges inherent in certain situations.

I invite you to walk with me on a safe therapeutic path toward awareness of your unique self. Along the way, you will discover that I have the skills and experience to help you develop self-confidence, control anxiety, shame, and other difficult emotions, manage relationships, and be free from the traumatic pain that may control your life now.

We all need validation of our strengths, weaknesses, feelings, and decisions. This creates a sense of safety and trust. Without safety, we develop ways to cope that reinforce fear.

As your therapist, I will strive to recognize you as a whole human being, validate and support your choices and emotions, and foster your growth in a safe, honest, and empathetic therapist-client relationship.

People who feel safe are more likely to get the help they need. Clients will feel free to ask questions, offer suggestions for their own treatment, and speak up if therapy is not helping.
